John A. Kraeutler
Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer
John A. Kraeutler has more than 44 years of experience in the biomedical industry and was appointed Chairman of the Board in 2014. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2008. He had been the President and Chief Operating Officer of Meridian Bioscience, Inc. since 1992. Before joining Meridian, Mr. Kraeutler served as Vice President, General Manager for a division of Carter-Wallace, Inc. Prior to that, he held key marketing and technical positions with Becton, Dickinson and Company and Organon, Inc. Mr. Kraeutler is a member of the AssureRx Board of Managers. He is a Director of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, and is the current Chairman of the Board, Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America. He is also a former appointed member of the Ohio Third Frontier Commission.

James M. Anderson
Retired President and Chief Executive Officer, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
James M. Anderson has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center since 1996. His appointment as President and CEO followed 20 years of service to the Cincinnati Children's Board of Trustees, including four years as chairman. Prior to joining the staff of Cincinnati Children's, Mr. Anderson was a partner in the general corporate department at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister and President of US Operations at Xomox Corporation. His extensive civic involvement includes service to the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Cincinnati Museum of Natural History, the United Way of Greater Cincinnati and the College of Mt. St. Joseph.

David C. Phillips
Co-founder of Cincinnati Works, Inc.
David C. Phillips has been a director since 2000. Mr. Phillips serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Phillips spent 32 years with Arthur Andersen L.L.P. His service with this firm included several managing partner leadership positions. After retiring from Arthur Andersen in 1994, Mr. Phillips became Chief Executive Officer of Downtown Cincinnati, Inc., which is responsible for economic revitalization of Downtown Cincinnati. Mr. Phillips retired from DCI in 1999 to devote full time to Cincinnati Works, Inc., an organization dedicated to reducing the number of people living below the poverty level by assisting them to strive towards self-sufficiency through work, and his financial consulting services. Mr. Phillips serves as a director of Cintas Corporation and Summit family of Mutual Funds.

Dwight (Dee) E. Ellingwood
President, D.E.E. Strategy Consulting, LLC
Dwight (Dee) E. Ellingwood has been a director at Meridian Bioscience, Inc. since 2014. Mr. Ellingwood has 35 years of experience in health care strategy, policy, planning and marketing. Mr. Ellingwood has served as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Communications and Public Affairs at TriHealth, Lead Executive for Cincinnati’s Collective Impact on Health in Cincinnati, Senior Vice President of Planning and Business Development at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Senior Vice President at Spohn Health System in Corpus Christi, Texas. Prior to 1990, Mr. Ellingwood was a Senior Partner in a health care consulting practice in Salt Lake City, Utah. His community engagements have included Uptown Consortium, Hoxworth Blood Center, HealthBridge and Tennis for Charity.

John C. McIlwraith
Co-founder and Managing Director, Allos Ventures
John C. McIlwraith co-founded Allos Ventures, a venture capital firm, in March 2010 and has served as a Managing Director there since that time. Prior to founding Allos Ventures, Mr. McIlwraith was a Managing Director of Blue Chip Venture Company, a Cincinnati-based venture capital and private equity firm, which he joined in 1997. He has served on the board of directors of more than 20 healthcare or information technology companies, and is currently the lead director of Assurex Health, Inc., an informatics-based precision medicine company providing treatment decision support to health care providers for behavioral health conditions. Prior to 1997, Mr. McIlwraith served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and General Counsel of publicly-traded Quantum Health Resources, Inc., and was a partner in the Jones Day law firm. Mr. McIlwraith received a B.A. from Hillsdale College and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University.

Catherine A. Sazdanoff
Chief Business Officer, Strata Oncology, Inc.
Catherine A. Sazdanoff is the Chief Business Officer of Strata Oncology, Inc., a precision oncology company, where she is responsible for business and corporate development, marketing, public relations, and legal functions. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Neurocern, Inc., a dementia management company. Immediately prior to taking her Strata Oncology role in June 2016, Ms. Sazdanoff was CEO and President of Sazdanoff Consulting LLC, specializing in business development, management and strategy consulting, and she was a Strategic Advisor to mProve Health LLC, a mobile health technology company. From 2006 to 2015, Ms. Sazdanoff held a number of executive positions with Takeda Pharmaceutical International, Inc. including Vice President, Head of Corporate Projects, VP, Global Business Development and VP, Corporate Development. Prior to her time at Takeda, Ms. Sazdanoff spent 22 years with Abbott Laboratories, where she held numerous executive positions. Ms. Sazdanoff received a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.

Lawrence J. Baldini
Executive Vice President and President, Global Operations
Lawrence J. Baldini has more than 36 years of experience in the industry and was appointed Executive Vice President and President, Global Operations in 2016, Executive Vice President of Operations and Information Systems in 2005, and had been the Vice President of Operations of Meridian Bioscience, Inc. since 2001. Before joining Meridian, Mr. Baldini was Director of Operations (Sensory Systems) at Instrumentation Laboratories, where he previously held the title of Operations Manager and Facilities Manager.

Marco Calzavara
President, Meridian Bioscience Europe

Marco Calzavara has more than 24 years in the European biotech industry. Mr. Calzavara was founder and CEO of the Bioline Group which manufactures reagents for molecular biology. Bioline was acquired by Meridian in July 2010. In April 2011, Marco Calzavara was appointed President of Meridian Bioscience Europe.

Richard L. Eberly
Executive Vice President, President and Chief Commercial Officer
Richard L. Eberly has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and was appointed Executive Vice President, President and Chief Commercial Officer in July 2016. In October 2012, Mr. Eberly became Executive Vice President, President of Meridian’s Life Science business. In February 2011, he was appointed Chief Commercial Officer. He was appointed Executive Vice President in May 2000 and President of Meridian Life Science in October 2005. Mr. Eberly previously held titles of Director of Sales and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Eberly joined Meridian in March 1995 as Marketing Product Manager. Before joining Meridian, Mr. Eberly held various positions in Sales and Marketing at Abbott Diagnostics, Division of Abbott Laboratories.

Slava A. Elagin
Executive Vice President, Research and Product Development
Dr. Slava A. Elagin has more than 26 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, with expertise in molecular diagnostics, IVD, product development, product commercialization, and clinical laboratory management. He joined Meridian Bioscience, Inc. as Vice President, Research and Development in 2009, and was appointed Executive Vice President Research and Development in 2012. Before joining Meridian, Dr. Elagin held executive positions with Third Wave Technologies and EraGen Biosciences.

Melissa A. Lueke
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Melissa A. Lueke has more than 30 years of finance experience and joined Meridian in January 1999 as U.S. Area Controller. She was appointed Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary in January of 2001, and was appointed Executive Vice President in December of 2009. Before joining Meridian, Ms. Lueke was Senior Audit Manager at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Susan D. Rolih
Executive Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance
Susan D. Rolih has more than 35 years of experience in the industry and was appointed Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance in 2008. She had been Vice President Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance since 2001. Before joining Meridian, Ms. Rolih was Corporate Vice President – Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Immucor, Inc. where she previously held titles of Vice President - Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, and Vice President-Technical Services.

Lourdes G. Weltzien
Vice President & General Manager, President Asia Pacific Markets
Dr. Lourdes G. Weltzien has more than 22 years of experience in the Life Science and Diagnostic industry and joined Meridian in July 2008 as General Manager for the Life Science business. She was appointed Vice President in September 2013, and President of Asia Pacific Markets in July 2016. Before joining Meridian, Dr. Weltzien held various President, Vice President, and Manager positions at Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (now Millipore-Sigma) since 1994, which included full P&L responsibility in Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Product Management in North America and in Europe.

Amy M. Winslow
Executive Vice President, President and CEO Magellan Diagnostics
Amy M. Winslow has over 23 years of experience in diagnostics and medical devices, and joined the Company as part of Meridian’s acquisition of Magellan Diagnostics in March 2016. Before joining Magellan in 2011, Amy had a strategy and marketing consulting practice and prior to that served as Vice President, Marketing for Athena Diagnostics (acquired by Quest Diagnostics), a specialty reference laboratory focused on novel diagnostic testing services in neurology, nephrology and endocrinology. Amy began her career as a product manager at C.R. Bard and also served as a Marketing Manager for Genzyme Transgenics.
